[showhide type=”VaughanCity” more_text=”> READ MORE” less_text=”> SHOW LESS”] The Vaughan City-wide Implementation Manual and Financial Strategy Plan was undertaken in response to the need to create a comprehensive design manual for urban intensification areas across the City. The study required the development of a level of service concept to better clarify appropriate design for context and to ensure that city-wide development will be completed with a consistent character. A large component of the project was the creation of a dynamic financial model to develop consistent costing and reporting of financial commitments for streetscape master plan projects. The level of service concept and financial model were developed in conjunction with each other to ensure that context, design and cost were given equal consideration. Read together, the implementation manual and financial strategy are meant to provide a consistent, efficient and informative document for the City to better plan and budget streetscape development moving forward.
